‘Field Dressings By Stretcher Bearer’ is a collection of notes and poems written by the late Alick Lewis Ellis, a medic in the army during the First World War. They chronicle the scenes he witnessed on the front line.
This collection of poems was found in a loft and returned to the family last year. The family have decided to release them as a book and it will be released on November 2nd – with a launch at the The Museum of Military Medicine.
