There are lots of great self-help books out there aiming to give support and advice to cancer sufferers, but none like this.

Avril Chester, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, found solace in her suffering through writing poems. She hopes the release of her poetry book, “Be with me, its c” can help and guide others suffering from this cruel disease.

Avril says: “I really surprised myself during treatment in that writing became my Book Launchcompanion.

There is a lot to process; new words, yo-yoing emotions and physical changes. This book of poems is a culmination of expressions written both in the small hours of the morning and during the day. I hope it helps provide some insight to breast cancer.

Most importantly, I hope it acts as a trigger to encourage others to write down their feelings, frustrations, hopes, tears and dreams.

This book has been specifically designed to write in. Please scribble in it. When it is difficult to talk, I’m encouraging people to write…”

At least 10% from every book sold will be donated to Breast Cancer logo_mainCareRegistered charity in England and Wales 1017658 and Scotland SC038104.

Avril Chester is a Trustee for a national advocacy charity and senior interim Technology Manager. She’s transformed vision into reality for over 15 years within multiple industries & environments and is enjoying the evolution of Tech Disruption.

Avril was diagnosed with Breast Cancer on 1st December 2015 and has self-published her first book of poems called Be with me, it’s c. Writing became her companion during treatment, she hopes her book encourages others to put pen to paper plus offer family and friends who wish to support an insight into potential feelings.
