Tell us a bit about your new book…. what is it about?
Freedom Is For The Birds is a book of animal fiction. It is a riveting, heartwarming story about a family of red-tailed hawks and is the world seen through the eyes of animals. It is also a human manifesto because humanity truly needs a lesson on morals, manners and compassion.
Is it part of a series? Are you planning any more?
It is planned as part of a series, with 2 more books to continue the story.
What inspired you to write the book?
Seeing animals continually losing their habitat and being abused, along with the frightening decline of humanity’s morals, gave me the drive to speak up for animal rights and the injustices inflicted upon them by humans.
Who do you think will enjoy reading the book?
Any animal lover, from young teens to seniors, will enjoy the book.
When did you start writing books and why?
I’ve always enjoyed writing, but really needed to get this message out to the world.
When did you first become passionate about animal welfare and rights?
I’ve always been passionate about animals my entire life. They are continually: killed by poachers, hunted for sport, kidnapped from their families for human entertainment or experiments, and losing habitat daily. They have needs, answers and voices that human refuse to acknowledge.
